Because the dial is fairly matte, the silver batons and hands really shine. I went with the Silver/Blue color option, which features a deep navy dial. So if you like to keep your watch on in the shower, or going for a swim, the Icon can handle it with ease. That’s really good for a dressier piece with a display caseback. I was surprised to find that the Icon has a 100m water resistance. And you might find yourself like me: too many timepieces. When you see the inner workings and get a glimpse of the engineering, you might get a whole new appreciation for watches. This is the sort of thing that turns unsuspecting people into watch fanatics. It’s just for you to look at when you put the watch on. It’s not for the outside world-no one can see it because it’s pressed against your wrist. Vincero usually uses marble for their casebacks, but they’ve opted to show off the automatic movement. At 41mm, it doesn’t look oversized, and I think anyone with average to large wrists will find it fits well with most outfits. The lugs have a subtle curvature that works well with the design. That’s my feeling so far: it’s not really a tuxedo type piece-it’s more of a business-man’s watch. But it also means that the Icon fits naturally into a casual wardrobe, too. While it has the high polish and dressy dial, it’s also much larger than a traditional dress watch. The Icon sits outside those norms, though. They’re typically all metal and have a high polish.
